What is a birth chart?
A birth chart (also called a natal chart or horoscope) is a snapshot of the sky at the moment and place where you were born. It shows the sun, the moon and the planets, each in a particular sign and house.
Together they form a personal pattern: your character, your pitfalls and your strengths. That is something different from your sun sign (zodiac sign), which only describes the position of the sun. Your horoscope is the whole picture.
A map of your inner landscape
Your birth chart is your cosmic blueprint. It is made from your date, place and time of birth. Think of it as a map of your inner landscape: from a helicopter view you look at your life and at who you are. That brings new perspectives.
The horoscope shows which zodiac signs, planets and spiritual points are present and in which areas of life they express themselves. It shows what is there in potential. The shape you give to it depends on your choices and your awareness.
